I’ve been thinking a lot about thresholds. Some you choose; some choose you.
A year ago I was limping through airports with a cane, dealing with chronic pain from congenital ankle issues + a surgical fusion that changed how I moved through the world.
Most people will see these as pedals.
I see a design decision shaped by injury, constraint, and safety. I can’t ride clipless as clipping out isn’t reliable with fused ankles.
So I design for the body I have, not the one I wish I had.

Some objects hold whole moments.
I got this mug at @rapha Amsterdam the day Cavendish won his 35th TdF stage. Just me, my family, and the shop staff—quiet and unforgettable.
When he crossed the line I screamed, then cried.
A reminder of why I chase hard things.

Last week I cleaned my office. This week I realized the real shift wasn’t tidying the room but seeing it clearly for the first time.
The space wasn’t messy; it was misaligned. I’ve changed—my environment needs to change with me.
Next up: a full redesign. #TourDeKen

@keithagruen My day is a little bit better knowing that you're having a string of good days. Does anyone else get pumped when you're friends are in the zone?
“Do good louder!”
Incredible, powerful message, well deserving of a standing ovation, from #loudouncounty#va Board of Supervisors Chair, @ChairRandall at this year’s @JCRCgw Lox & Legislators breakfast at my synagogue, Temple Rodef Shalom @rodefshalom@JFGW#dogoodlouder
