The countries formalized an implementation framework with specific timelines for their agreed activities during their second Joint Defence Cooperation Committee meeting.

The foundation for this cooperation was established by an agreement signed during Indian🇮🇳 Prime Minister Modi's 2018 visit to Rwanda🇷🇼, and recent collaborations include training and equipment assistance.

Turkish energy company Ergaz has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sudan to build the country's first natural gas storage facility, aiming to strengthen energy security as Sudan continues to grapple with the effects of more than three years of civil war.

Under the preliminary agreement, the storage terminal will be built at Suakin Port with a capacity of 28,000 cubic meters. The project is expected to generate approximately $200 million in annual savings for Sudan while addressing critical infrastructure challenges in the energy sector.

Sudan Sea Ports Corporation Director General Mohamed Jilani said the terminal will be the first project of its kind to be implemented at Sudanese ports under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.

The state-of-the-art facility will feature modern gas storage tanks and will be capable of serving up to three vessels simultaneously. The project is also expected to eliminate waiting times for LPG carriers and significantly improve the country's energy logistics and efficiency.

Reuters found that companies controlled by a U.S. Army Special Forces veteran operated a fleet of aging Boeing aircraft that flew to key logistics hubs used by the Rapid Support Forces during the Sudan war.

Companies owned by a longtime U.S. government and military contractor have been operating several airplanes linking regional supply routes to the stronghold of a paramilitary force accused of genocide in Sudan, a Reuters investigation has found.
To the outside world, Steven Shaulis, a 63-year-old U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, is the head of the Singapore-based CADG, formerly known as Central Asia Development Group, a global firm that has held U.S. and United Nations contracts for over 20 years. Shaulis’ companies have earned at least $419 million from American taxpayers through military and foreign-aid projects, government records show.

Speaking during a meeting with grassroots leaders from Bungoma County led by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa at State House, Nairobi, on Friday, the President said elections should never be treated as a matter of life and death.

"There will be Kenya after the election, and we must live together as brothers and sisters of one nation," Ruto said.

He cautioned politicians against dividing Kenyans along ethnic lines, urging leaders to promote national cohesion and focus on improving the lives of citizens instead of engaging in divisive politics.

"Once an election is over, we must remember that this country belongs to all of us," he said.
