Ledama Ole Kina should know that a teacher in Kenya earns 17k a month while in France earns upto 500k a month.
If we take our case with the wage range, fuel should be around ksh 80.
Contrary to the misreporting by @citizentvkenya , we did not leave the venue because we were "chased." We departed because the presiding Bishop and Seme MP James Nyikal had already left to proceed with the burial of his father. Our sole purpose for attending was to offer our condolences and stand in solidarity with the family.
Remaining unbowed, we left the service and arrived safely at the airport to return to Nairobi. This travel is in preparation for the EALASCA Festival, which are scheduled to kick off in Mombasa on Monday, May 4th, 2026. I am proud to confirm that Siaya County will be participating in the upcoming events and I will be joining them as the Patron of KICOSCA.
While at the airport, we enjoyed a warm reception and spent time engaging with the locals before boarding. The people of Kisumu are WANTAM, a spirit of hospitality and excellence that was clearly on display throughout the past weekend.

Babu Owino and Edwin Sifuna are very sharp boys. They have now come up with a new communication device said to be from Russia, costing about 5 million per device. This is the kind of technology that was only being used by Baba before.
Right now, things have changed. You can’t easily know where they are, what they are saying, or even who they are talking to. Their communication is tight, private, and well organized.
These leaders are clearly thinking ahead. They understand the game has changed, and they are moving with strategy. In today’s politics, information is power, and the one who controls communication controls the direction.
Babu and Sifuna are not just making noise, they are moving smart.

Violence against Kenyans must stop now!
I am appalled by the violence, intimidation and unnecessary harassment of innocent Kenyans by the police, often leading to serious injuries and death.
Yesterday, Sunday 15 February 2025 together with other leaders, we convened in Kitengela town for a peaceful meeting. Shortly after we began the meeting, police fired teargas and live bullets into the crowd leading to skirmishes with people fleeing in different directions. I have since learnt that many people were injured including women and children, and some people have died.
I send my condolences to the family of Vincent Ayomo, a 28-year-old young man who was shot and died on the spot. My heart goes out to his family. May they be comforted during this difficult time.
This violence is a cowardly act by this intolerant administration and must stop immediately. We condemn this use of force against unarmed Kenyans because it is unlawful and indefensible! The right to assemble and move freely is firmly enshrined in our constitution and no Kenyan should have to die for exercising it.
We have noticed that this violence by the police is only targeted at people who are not supportive of this administration. Are the police truly independent as required by law or mere appendages of this administration? Why must the police kill innocent Kenyans at the instruction of this government? Has this administration forgotten that we went to the streets last year (2025) because of extra-judicial killings by the police? Is this the Singapore they are promising Kenyans?
The growing intolerance by this administration will not be tolerated. We stand for a bold new country where there is respect for the rule of law and justice. We want a country that defends its citizens, not kill them. When we fought for a new constitution, we wanted an independent police service. What we now have under this administration is a captured police force, that sometimes even works with goons. We will defend our constitutional rights and continue to hold the “Linda Mwananchi” meetings.
We, therefore, demand as follows:
1. The immediate cessation of violence against Kenyans peacefully assembling including in future “Linda Mwananchi” meetings.
2. A thorough and independent investigation into the deaths and injuries caused by the police must be conducted immediately and those responsible must be held accountable.
