[NEWS] Two Chinese women were arrested by the police after trespassing into the residence of a popular idol group CORTIS. They reportedly purchased the address information on social media.

Incidents like this, where misplaced fan affection escalates into privacy violation crimes, continue to recur.

​Around 2:00 AM KST yesterday, two Chinese women were arrested by the police after trespassing into Cortis’s residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

​The police reportedly dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from the group's manager, who stated, "A package outside the residence was opened, and the front door was slightly open."

They found the women on a different floor of the apartment building.

"I think I’ve seen (the idols living here) a few times... but the security here is pretty vulnerable."

​Although the apartment building displays notices prohibiting unauthorized entry and has a security office managing access:

"We didn't even know outsiders came in and got arrested... We do monitor the CCTV continuously. "

​During police questioning, the women reportedly stated that they "bought the address on social media and went there," but maintained that they "did not damage any packages or trespass into the residence."
