"Many people out there in the media defend whatever they believe is their side of the aisle and condemn the other side, not even acknowledging the rabid hypocrisy that that involves." -@ClayTravis
I’ve never been more proud to own a media company. We aren’t going anywhere and no one is ever going to tell us what to think or say. But I’m no longer confident we will always be able to use Twitter — and other social media platforms — to distribute our content.
I know a lot of people will be upset & say this violates Donald Trumps 1st amendment right. Twitter is a private company and those rules don’t apply. I do believe lawmakers need to look at this and create some type of legislation.
By banning the duly elected President of the United States, Big Tech has declared they are more powerful than the will of the American people. Unelected tech oligarchs should not have such massive power over global discourse while enjoying little to no oversight/accountability.
Social media is our generation’s public forum. It ought to be subject to the same protections provided to all public forums.
I am calling for First Amendment protections to be applied to this New Town Square.
Censorship of elected officials by unelected elites is UNAMERICAN!
Congratulations to @jack, who has repeatedly lied under oath to Congress, for making the most dire warnings from conservatives about Big Tech reality, and ensuring the destruction of his platform.
