@RoyPentland @JRice79294326 benefit is offset by actual climate change. I read a paper on this before and co2 increased 'productivity' by 7% but climate change reduced actual production by 7% (and yes, they're both 7%, but on different metrics. Production is the key one, and larger)

10-40% is a huge error bar. Who's the source to say it's directly from co2? As the vast majority is from technology, farming practices and improved seeds.
It also misses the point slightly as yes, plants generally do prefer more co2 so in isolation - great. Only that ...

Normally something has to happen in order to release the co2 which then in turn starts feedback loops.Usually one of the cycles the planet / sun goes through, the "something" this time is just us releasing huge amounts of co2

A warmer ocean holds less co2 then a colder one, it's a feedback loop as temps increase.
