They need something to entertain us while we wait. I know its confirmed we will see new characters but dont build hype like Aizen.

Urahara states Hogyoku rejected Aizen but Ichigo found a different story, he started to see the loneliness in Aizen. He evolved too far and Hogyoku saw it

@simo_urahara Nah the final fight will last from episode 49 to atleast half of episode 50. Why would we need a whole episode for aftermatch? That would literally make ep 49 be so rushed.
