the original tweet alone abt kim k has thousands of interactions, most of them mocking her, wdym “no one bats an eye” ???? Normalize calling *all* billionaires out of touch, bc they are and bc no one should be a billionaire. 🤷♀️
and yet taylor swift is painted as the out-of-touch, money-hungry billionaire puppet master who supposedly knows nothing about real life — while kim kardashian can openly admit she doesn’t know how much a carton of milk costs and no one bats an eye. taylor quietly donates millions to food banks, disaster relief, and fans in need, and it barely makes a ripple, but she’s still somehow the one accused of being disconnected… noticing!
@adityafearles There is no such thing as an “ethical billionaire” the very state of being a billionaire in a world (and namely a country) with the level of wealth inequity we have is, by definition, not equitable!! You can be a fan of her or admire her charitable actions but this is so off base
@WHITEH0TPEPPERS@PopBase there is no such thing as being “the best billionaire” 😭 if someone is a billionaire at all they are by very definition not being charitable enough
@AdriCaporusso They found her cringe. Same as new Shrek animation. People randomly dogpile on cringe. But then again, every needless live action Disney remake has been pretty disproved of.
@marialionza60@Visionscaper@esjesjesj What need is there to promote some brand when you’ve been joined at the hip for months already to the CEO? Don’t play dumb.
@SouthwestAir I genuinely hope whatever money you earn by charging for bags doesn’t make up for the financial loss you’ll experience over lost sales due to changing your policy; the one thing that made SWA feel like a deal.
@Goldxn_Violin I don’t even know if people are saying it’s especially bad more-so than they’re saying it’s weird to suddenly redesign characters despite them maintaining the same design for over 20 years???
That’s what happen when you redesign a familiar character. We have seen this before
@NewDeyMedia@BluntVoices@PopBase Teenagers and children are not the same when it comes to age groups and entertainment ratings. That’s why we have a scale of ratings based upon age. The point does remain.
@Jay_Nector @mrblepp@mickmami@elonmusk Actually 14 kids; one passed, one is being used as a human shield, one he pretends doesn’t exist, and the other eleven are neglected, yeah.
@WiZiCFC@Shrek Point is to make a fifth installment of any series is relying upon returning viewers and if enough viewers don’t want to return (regardless of why)— well it kind of defeats the purpose. Just like the Sonic fan was relying on fan buy-in and the fans hated the original design 🥴
@Shrek This is Far Far Away’s worst yet. Starting with the fact that Antonio Banderas as Puss, who basically saved this franchise anyway, is noticeably absent. That doesn’t even scratch the design change 🤢
