Planning to bring back the @kernelpodcast later this year. I need a mailing list platform:
1. Web based threaded view
2. Ability to (re)group threads
3. Ability to comment on threads and moderate comments, write collective summaries of a thread
Will write this unless it exists?
So I said this. I want to figure out how to bring it back. The weight of security issues and other things this year has made that a tough prospect. But I am committed to finding a way this fall!
@kernelpodcast in traffic jam, I noticed that I never listened Kernel Podcast on my new phone. Checked the website if new episodes are out.. I guess we have to wait a little longer.
Going to @RedHatSummit?
Fedora is going too! details of what is going on for Fedora users and contributors are over on the magazine

also: one of the places in the Linux kernel that need a garbage collector (because you can build complex reference structures by having pending messages in unix domain sockets that have file descriptors pointing to other unix domain sockets attached): https://t.co/BinfPG2Thw https://t.co/imDUB0lYqn
“Reluctantly-signed-off-by: David Woodhouse” — on learning that the gcc patches for retpoline had a fairly pointless rename of the external thunk. Hehehe
A more technical writeup on what can be done to address #Meltdown and #Spectre in future CPU designs. If there's interest, I can write a longer version with graphics and so on: https://t.co/6kO3pEG5j7
The @nytimes used a butler analogy. I still prefer my barista one in our @RedHatNews writeup. But either way, this is an incredibly informed and well written piece for mainstream journalism. Well done NYT. https://t.co/SrdtRy6uag
Here's a video that we made to explain #Meltdown and #Spectre. I came up with both the coffee shop and restaurant analogies to help non-chip design folks understand the problem in everyday language - Meltdown and Spectre in 3 Minutes https://t.co/nwFn6APUvr from @RedHatNews
Hopefully this blog post helps explain both #Meltdown and #Spectre . I have been secretly co-leading the @RedHatNews company-wide effort at mitigating these exploits for every affected architecture for some time. https://t.co/IBcQNeuSzh
Coding is important – and fun. @CSforAll, thanks for your work to make sure every kid can compete in a high-tech, global economy. https://t.co/QDZqcoEQiM
