BREAKING: Illinois women’s track and field has signed Texas A&M transfer Sofia Yakushina.

She owns the NCAA freshman heptathlon record with her personal-best score of 6,260 points which would be the Illinois school record by nearly 300 points.

Unreal resume Yakushina includes Three-time All-American in combined events, SEC Outdoor Freshman Field Athlete of the Year this spring, SEC champion in heptathlon and more honors.
