Important to keep context. This is the only disease we get daily updates on. We forget in UK 1000 people daily diagnosed w cancer or 1500 dying. This is not causing death or significant problems on the NHS- so IMO we need to get used to it as vaccines make it a mild disease.

#OTD in 1982 destroyer HMS Sheffield was hit by an Exocet missile during the operation to liberate the #Falklands.
Twenty sailors were killed and the Type 42 - 'Shiny Sheff' - subsequently sank, the first RN warship lost to enemy action since #WW2. We will remember them.
#OnThisDay 1982 Type 42 Destroyer HMS SHEFFIELD is hit by Argentine Exocet becoming the first @RoyalNavy ship lost in action since 1945. Though the missile did not detonate it started fires that killed 20 sailors. 260 were rescued by HMS ARROW. SHEFFIELD sank under tow #remember
