Bonos character shows not all men of the time acted the way Troy did-unlike troy men respected their wives, wanted to eat dinner with them, and to remain faithful. Bono represents the good in the story, that not all men were abusive and unfaithful #falzfences207

Alberta isnt on stage because the play writes want us to picture her how Troy explains her (big Florida southern girl) and us (readers) to imagine her contrast from Rose- how rose is always on his back and nagging him and when he is with Alberta he is free #falzfences207

I do care about the characters although i find it hard to connect with some of them. Ex: sympathize with the narrator and feel bad she is being ignored and pushed aside. Likewise I feel John is arrogant, cold and selfish and wonder what drives him to ignore his wife

@ryanfra89089949 True- there were a lot of points in the book where Edna realized should/ shouldn’t do stuff, yet didn’t know what to do after- this is evident when Edna knew she didn’t want to be a mother- woman, yet stugggled after deciding if she should have an affair w alcee #falzawake207

@ChrisCody345 Good point- Edna always talks about her need for independence but struggles when is given it- when Robert left her (again) Edna broke. I don’t think she is mature enough (hence shes a newborn) to deal with the trauma that comes with independence #falzawake207
