I had to explain to neighbours that charging the car every couple of days draws no more power than running the clothes dryer and dishwasher for the same amount of time. Scheduled charging lets me do it early in the morning, off peak. Ironically I schedule the dishwasher and clothes dryer to run at peak solar production ☺️
First time this evening letting FSD navigate through Elwood, St Kilda, Albert Park and Southbank. It was an adventure. It would be the most disengagements I have had in 15km, counted six. Two for wrong lane at roundabouts, three for bad navigation, one where I didn’t like the indicator going for a left turn while in the right lane. Turned out the car was right, it technically was a left followed by an immediate right. It did however deal with raised tram stops, roundabouts with tram lines through the middle, pedestrians amd wayward driving by Mercedes, BMW and Audi drivers 😁
FSD V13 DU doing some things well, somethings not so well. Handles a scooter well, needs PoE to safely turn on to a main road. Tried to make a left turn from the middle lane and needed help, does an awesome lane split. This is why V14 is becoming necessary.
I’d love to see that! I know from 3rd party tracking that FSD is roughly 18% more efficient than I am. On a recent road trip, FSD ran 22% more efficient than I did. That’s a lot of extra miles of range. I compared charging times on the same trip, FSD saved 9 minutes of charging, 27 down to 18, same two stops. Weather was similar.
