@sajjadahmed1 @stellacreasy @wfcouncil It’s like this every morning and from 2pm onwards on billet road. Poor kids walking to school breathing in traffic fumes, as there’s 3 schools leading up to billet roundabout. At least the residents around Lloyd park have nice quiet neighbourhoods.

@wasyluk @Jamaaalllll @stellacreasy He posted this at 3pm and had already completed a 50 minute journey, it was not rush hour. It’s like this from 2pm everywhere around Walthamstow. Some car journeys are necessary. I do believe this latest LTN is the worst in Waltham Forest so far.

@s_walthamstow @reality___today @guidoacasa There’s about 20 roads that are closed off around Lloyds park now, if 10 cars used each road in an hour before that’s now 200 extra cars all pushed onto surrounding roads, add that to the cars that already use the surrounding roads and there’s your screwed up northeast London.

@reality___today @s_walthamstow @guidoacasa I did think that ‘rat run’ 🙄 most roads around Lloyds park are 20mph, all have speed bumps, and whenever I have gone down any of the roads around Lloyds park I’m usually the only car around. Hardly boy racers racing up and down and full of traffic.

@s_walthamstow @guidoacasa I have fed back to the council but they have monitors on the road so they already have the statistics of traffic flow. I think everyone could do with being a bit more considerate/tolerant, including cyclists, motorists and people that don’t drive. We all need to get to work etc.

@s_walthamstow @guidoacasa Traffic is only better in the LTNs not surrounding roads, other roads are now having to accommodate the extra traffic flow, which is unfair ! Priory Court, William Morris Close and North Countess Road to name a few. So by anyone else I mean these residents as well as motorists.

@s_walthamstow @guidoacasa Yes yesterday was ‘especially’ bad and every other day is just ‘bad’. As you said though no problem for the cyclists and the people on their nice quiet roads in the LTNs. Don’t worry about anyone else, as long as the cyclists are happy.

@sajjadahmed1 @stellacreasy @wfcouncil The more LTNs added the more cars will be bottle necked onto main roads. Main roads are being squeezed to their limits. For example the Chingford Road area already has an LTN in place, and now with the new Lloyds park LTN even more cars need to use the Chingford Road route.

@sajjadahmed1 @stellacreasy @wfcouncil Some work and some don’t, this new one around the Lloyds park area isn’t working, it’s too much of a large area cut off and it’s causing too many cars into a small area of road.

@guidoacasa It isn’t clear, please enlighten me as to who is benefiting from LTNs? Apart from a very small number of people within the LTNs, but that is then offset by the poor people who now have double the traffic on their roads.
