@evindor@tferriss Sometimes in conflict a vast show of superior force can minimize retaliation, where as "just enough" retaliation can prolong the conflict.
@mer__edith So many startups have gotten successful product market fit by listening to their users. So many corporations have died because they stopped listening to their users.
Can you explain your reasoning in this light?
@mer__edith I would love to see your actual cost/benefit analysis.
It's hard for me to believe you fully understand how many users, paying and non-paying, and how many ambassadors you're going to lose, and what benefit could possibly weigh against it.
@signalapp I hope you're watching the Hacker News comments. One of the primary reasons many people were using was because you made security/privacy easy, friction-less. Removing SMS support creates *high* friction, and will lose you many users.
@alexiskold Often they have better odds because they don't have as much to risk. Similar to surgeries, if you're relatively healthy you may be averse to a cosmetic surgery that could go poorly, while if it's a life-or-death situation, you're more likely to do it.
