The entire process of quarantine needs a review. The virus did not arise within the community of Australia and its states. It has been allowed to be introduced into the country and then allowed to escape quarantine before it is destroyed or eliminated.

Lockdowns only reduce transmission. The best prevention is to stop it coming in to the community. Politicians should lock everyone out of the state till most of the state is vaccinated. This will cost far less in the long run than a lockdown. The same should apply to the nation.

As many hotel quarantine people get infected in their hotel often at the end of their period they end up infecting the population. Should they be made to stay at home for 2 weeks after hotel quarantine to stop the leak through and have no more lockdowns or masks.

@MikeFBath Maybe ANZCA should create ground rules for Fellows being redeployed to ICU and work it out with the ICU College. It should respect the specialist nature of the Fellowship.
