What is most intriguing is, there has been no big emotional issue for a regime transformation of this magnitude. 1967 - there were multiple such issues - anti-Hindi, anti-centralisation, drought etc.. When Jayalalitha came in 1991, it was riding on the wave against DMK after the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi... Even in 2021 there was Jallikattu, Anti-NEET, Thoothukudi Shooting etc...

This time there was nothing of such kind that was so visible...Not even the anti-corruption, anti-authoritarianism wave against Jaya and Sasi we saw in 1996
