@kelly_knox It's not that hard for the people confused by this: 'female' can be reasonably used in a) scientific contexts* or b) as a descriptor (the female driver). Otherwise, use woman / women. *Most general conversation is not a scientific context. Stop using it there.

News outlets are mixing up the two. Of note: COVID is still similar to the flu mortality in patients under 50, but higher above.
