@AmericanAir My journey on American Airlines 5085 from DCA to Nashville:

• Wake up to a 49-minute delay, so I take my time getting ready.
• Delay gets shortened by 30 minutes, so I rush to the airport.
• Delay gets moved back to the original time, so I wait at the gate.
• Another delay because they’re swapping out a flight attendant at the last minute.
• The plane next to us has a tow-out issue.
• Then the plane behind us is blocking our tow-out.
• We finally move, then pull to the side because of an engine warning light.
• Pilot says maintenance checked it and we’re good to go.
• Engine warning light comes back on.
• We return to the gate.
• We hold short waiting for ground crew.
• Then wait for a jet bridge operator.
• We deplane, but no one tells us what to do next.
• The gate agent has to walk down the jet bridge to find out because every passenger is asking her what to do and she has no information that we are even here.

It’s now 11:53 a.m., and the American app says nothing.

Hopefully American sends someone to sort this out.
