@BeObtuse @sky_goddess7@B52Malmet It's because R's strategy for 10+ years has been to pack every court from Supreme to local, then shotgun blast law challenges until something gets through.
They're doing it with everything from project blitz to abortion, voter suppression to tax law.
@BeObtuse @sky_goddess7@B52Malmet In that analogy, Dems are no longer the parent with the headache, but rather Mrs. Dursley getting yelled at over presents
@Liesl_65 @healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 Then we are at a crossroads, because I do not agree.
At least we can both agree that everyone should freely be able to love who they love, and I appreciate this morning's discourse with you.
@Liesl_65 @healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 When you call a trans female a straight male, you are the one doing "massive damage the the existience" of a group.
@Liesl_65 @healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 I agree that wouldn't make sense, but they aren't asking for more acceptance, just equal acceptance. That, and trans females aren't male, they're female.
@Liesl_65 @healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 Massive damage? Really? Lesbians, their relationships, and their activist causes continue to exist regardless of trans people, none of that is threatened.
Born men with female GI and attraction to women exist, what do you suggest they call themselves?
@SumthingAwesom1 @healthybuttrfly@CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 Well I, for one, am not compelling anyone to be curteous... just advising it.
I'd also advise analyzing and questioning why referring to a singular "they" is offensive. Is it the pronoun itself, or the feeling of being told what to do?
@healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 And thank you for being civil :)
No matter how you, I, or others interpret the data, it does no harm to respect people's preferences. At the end of the day, pronouns and gender identity never hurt anyone.
@SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 My linked article is a new theory on how the already proven gender dysphoria works, not that it's a theory itself.
If an observatory has a new theory on how stars form, it doesn't mean stars are a new theory. Read the article.
@UsfFan2019 @CryeALil @CauseCommotions@trishmc1958@ddlovato What? I'm not saying it is. My birth certificate says man, I identify and feel like a man, and my friends say "he" when talking about me.
Demi was born female, identifies as non-binary, and goes by "them". Why is this hard?
@healthybuttrfly @SumthingAwesom1 @CauseCommotions @mrlighthousebe1 @trishmc1958 The new theory in this article is HOW the brain is gender-dysphoric, not THAT the brain is. Do more research. I just linked the first googled article so it's the most recent topic in the field.

@UsfFan2019 @CryeALil @CauseCommotions@trishmc1958@ddlovato Yes, I would, but that doesn't happen and is a false equivilancy.
Imagine that I'm trying to tell you that in addition to apples and oranges, a pear is also a fruit.
You responding "by that logic, a helicopter is also a fruit" isn't as good of a rebuttal as you think it is.
@MattTunseth As a white person, I don't see the problem. I've modified (and continue to modify) my behaviour to reduce my inadvertent racism and will continue to do so. I expect the same from those around me and my society.
They call it woke, but it's just being a decent human being.
