Abdul El-Sayed: “You see JD Vance now, he’s sprinting as hard backwards as he can from this terrible disastrous war in Iran. I’m like now’s not the time my guy, it would have been eight months ago you should’ve spoke up, but you never will because of course you are a coward who has decided that whatever Donald Trump says should go until of course Donald Trump is now a loser at the ballot box”
@NahalB56834@yarbatman Which part was naive or dishonest?
They are likely voting next week to impeach Hegseth, if he doesn’t resign or get fired before. And that’s the Republican-led house.
President Donald Trump may have launched the war that tanked voters' support for the GOP, but the party's historic midterm losses are accelerating a push for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to take the fall.
And the House could vote as soon as next week to impeach the Pentagon's top leader. https://t.co/erGaiqYvsi
@kshahrooz So… like the Iraq war?
I think it’s time to move on from war as a means of regime change and focus on an organic, democratic opposition development and organization, a MUCH more powerful tool for positive change than violence and destruction
For too long, most Iranian-Americans have anchored their politics in some combination of foreign interventionism, Islamophobia, and blindly pro-Israel and anti-Arab sentiments.
In this election, American voters rejected exactly those kinds of cynical beliefs.
Iranian-Americans need to rethink their values and their civic duties. We ought to be a constructive, progressive force in U.S. politics.
2028 will be a chance to make amends.
Trump went to war with Iran expecting an easy victory. Instead, he got a devastating midterm backlash, a weakened presidency & tarnished legacy.
Extraordinary blowback. His anger belongs with those who sold him the war on false promises, not the Iranian civilians he threatens.
As late as September, many experts predicted Democrats would gain 2-10 seats in the House, even as models had a clear Dem wave forecasted with a 20+ seat gain (and even that was way too conservative).
It is difficult to express the state of shock many are in right now.
@pikapp30 Vindication for the Iranian (and Iraqi) people, not only in the death of the architect of the Iran (and Iraq) wars, Lindsay Graham, but the humiliating defeat of his sister.
The blood of many innocent people are on their hands.
If Jeffrey Epstein was alive today, he would endorse the entirety of the Republican Party.
This ad should play on every TV channel for the next three days.
If you want answers and accountability vote Democrat.
Dr. El-Sayed is a fighter for our American Constitution, he’s a fighter for our American Democracy, and he’s a fighter against the corrupt, lawless, and anti-American leadership currently in the White House. That’s why I’m in his corner 100%.

James Carville to Haley Stevens:
"If you think that these Republicans are going to treat you as anything other than what they view you as...a used condom. The Democrats don't even think you're worth a used condom."
Elder statesman of the Democrats.
here's the entirety of the seeming mental breakdown Haley Stevens just had on CNN. One of the most bizarre and incoherent political interviews I can recall. Note how she's completely unable to explain why she changed her mind from supporting Abdul El-Sayed last night to endorsing Mike Rogers today.
HALEY STEVENS: Anderson, this is a broader point about what's going on in our party
COOPER: It's actually not. It's really just a question of why you changed your mind
STEVENS I haven't cast my vote yet
COOPER: So you might change your mind again?

Former Michigan Governor Jim Blanchard — a longtime friend and supporter of Haley Stevens — says he was having dinner on Friday with Stevens and her fiancé, and that Stevens was excited to attend the church service with Jim Clyburn and Abdul El-Sayed.
Blanchard said that Stevens’ fiancé, Jason Turkish, began chiding her at the dinner.
“He was working her over. The way he was saying it was, ‘Everyone is disappointed in you, they did everything they could to help you and then immediately after you lose the primary, you endorsed him.’”
“He was all distraught,” he said.
“He was all strung out about Abdul. I let her know, he’s not a good influence.”
Blanchard remained in touch with Stevens throughout the weekend and expected her to attend the church service. He only found out from the news that she was at the service with Rogers and endorsing him.
“Something snapped in her. And it snapped in 24 hours,” Blanchard told Zach Gorchow of State Affairs.
“And I don’t know what.”
Blanchard, clearly pained by the situation, said several times, “This is not the Haley I know.”
He lamented Turkish’s “terrible political judgment.”
