My friend Henry (who was also my student) and I decided to create some joy in –20°C weather in the Yukon and share it with you all. He is in grade 5 now. We are sending joy, hope, and positivity to everyone.

@DrP_Principal Mrs Keach (Greenfield,1973-74, Gr. 3), Ms. Jameson (Nickle J.H. 1979-80, Gr 9) Both teachers made me feel like I mattered and was capable of doing hard things. They made me want to teach. I retired as an elementary teacher this past June. I know they would both be proud.

@kennethoppel One of my favourite read alouds ever. I read it to at least 2 Gr 4 classes and also to both of my boys. Silverwing looks beautiful as a graphic novel. I always had my students close their eyes and listen to your written descriptions because they were so vivid.

@sherfitch I think it should be a piece of art in some way A little folk art with funky paint would suit the NS culture, but as is as a reminder to the resilience of Nova Scotia would be great too. Either way it has so much meaning
