Albanians aren't just protesting. They burned down the house of their president who approved the sale of the national park to the Kushners.
This is the wayyyy
HAPPENING NOW 🇨🇴 Students from Universidad del Valle, one of the largest public universities in Colombia, are striking against far-right candidate Abelardo de la Espriella until after the second round of the presidential election.
The U.S. has killed more than 200 people in over 60 strikes on boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, claiming without evidence that the boats were engaged in narcotrafficking. Amanda Klasing (@AMKlasing) of @amnestyusa says these are extrajudicial killings that constitute murder. “U.S. taxpayers should be outraged, absolutely outraged, that their money is going to murder as a policy,” says Klasing.
#CARIBBEAN: A shortage of the scotch bonnet chilli pepper used to create the quintessential Caribbean hot pepper sauce is threatening to stifle supply, while sending costs for the region's producers soaring.
A rare albino BUFFALO in Bangladesh nicknamed “DONALD TRUMP” was SPARED from Eid al-Adha sacrifice after going VIRAL online.
The 700-kg buffalo was already sold, but the Government INTERVENED as HUGE CROWDS gathered to see it.
Authorities refunded the buyer and MOVED the buffalo to the Dhaka zoo.
Pope Leo XIV: "Among these ideologies, I consider particularly insidious the one that suggests that every person must earn or justify his or her own worth, to the point of attributing greater value to those who are more efficient or effective. From this perspective, persons end up being reduced to a means of achieving results, a resource to be used and exploited, and are no longer recognized as a proper end in themselves who should never be instrumentalized. The value of persons, however, does not depend on what they achieve or produce. There are rights that apply to everyone simply by virtue of being human, and no human power can legitimately deny or arbitrarily limit them." #MagnificaHumanitas
Not defending the people in the video, but scenes like this are an almost inevitable consequence of the destruction of outdoor lidos & the poisoning of rivers across London. It’s madness for a city the size of London to have only one set of wild swimming ponds; conveniently located in one of the wealthiest areas. We should demand a *minimum* of one wild swimming spot in every London borough. The creation of new ponds & wetlands and the cleaning & restoration of existing waterways this would entail would also be fantastic for nature. With a little effort & imagination we can have more than enough waters for Nature & for humans.
One of the most horrific scenes in human history has been revealed.
The moment a small child carrying a water jug to her besieged and thirsty family was bombed, killing her and shattering her body.
A video the world must never forget.
I'm going to try to watch this film, because the Indonesian gov't is lying about what's happening to the Papuan people. For years the Indigenous people of West Papua, Sumatra and other regional islands have been protesting against land theft for colonial agricultural expansion.
