We are barreling toward a full blown constitutional crisis.
Trump's announcement that he's ending thousands of aid contracts FUNDED BY CONGRESS is unconstitutional and illegal - and horrible for our security.
1/ A quick🧵on what's going on.

We’re barely three weeks in, but Trump is laying the groundwork to allow staggering levels of corruption to occur in the US Government.
Here are five actions he's already taken to open the flood gates of corruption – just the facts🧵
BREAKING: Associated Press (@AP) told to “align its editorial standards” — and rename the Gulf of Mexico — or lose Oval Office access.
This unprecedented act of censorship should elicit a harsh, bi-partisan rebuke in defense of America’s free press.

Surreal exchange I just had with an Education Dept operator to connect me with their press office.
Q: What is the topic of your call?
Me: "Oh, the dismantling of the Department of Education."
I can’t believe it - after years of advocacy, exclusionary zoning has ended in Cambridge.
We just passed the single most comprehensive rezoning in the US—legalizing multifamily housing up to 6 stories citywide in a Paris style
Here’s the details 🧵
Update: DOGE members Luke Farritor and Gavin Kilger are no longer “read only” users at the CFPB. They are now listed as domain administrators in the bureau’s system, meaning they can provide or revoke access as they see fit
In just the week before Trump took power, CFPB:
- ordered Equifax to pay $15M
- ordered a major auto lender to return $10M to customers
- ordered CashApp to refund $120M to customers
- sued Capital One for cheating people out of interest payments
This week it's closed.
What we found was that, yeah, there's a pretty strong case for PEPFAR. Even using conservative assumptions and ignoring many of its positive impacts, our best guess is that the program indeed saved 19million lives by 2018.
This morning, we won a court order blocking Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, from accessing Americans’ private data.
Musk and his DOGE employees must destroy all records they've obtained.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: no one is above the law.
Because of the U.S. funding freezing, the entire global ecosystem of China nonprofits is facing an extinction event.
I'm not exaggerating for clicks. This is really what is happening. Read my piece below:
🚨 BREAKING: Trump's DOJ just killed its elite anti-corruption unit, our sources say. The Kleptocracy Initiative - famous for seizing Russian oligarchs' yachts and prosecuting the $4.5B 1MDB fraud - was quietly disbanded last night.
News: The White House has directed the GSA to terminate "every single media contract" expensed by the agency: "Politico, BBC, E&E (Politico sub) and Bloomberg"
"The eye of Sauron is on more than just Politico It's all the media," WH adviser says

I'd forgotten that one of the hallmarks of the Trump presidency isn't just that things keep happening, but also that things keep ... un-happening. In its first few weeks, the White House
- announced 25% North American tariffs ... that were paused within a day
- moved to end birthright citizenship ... an order that was struck down by a federal judge
- offered a buyout to federal employees ... whose implementation was paused by a federal judge
- issued an OMB memo ordering a “temporary pause” on grant and loan spending by federal agencies ... but a federal district judge blocked it
- claimed full access to a critical Treasury Department payments system ... but today, a judge signed off on restricting access for DOGE employees
What am I missing?
All but 289 USAID employees globally are now on administrative leave, per two sources.
