Thinking about what AI has done to images - flattened them into a hall of mirrors in which nothing is believable. I'm more interested now in the direct bodily experience of artmaking. Not that AI art isn't art, but this moment makes me feel so existential, it feels so empty
Sadly, @WabKinew seems poised to join the long list of NDP premiers who failed to reform the undemocratic first-past-the-post system that brought them to power.
If he does decide to run federally, someone needs to ask if he’s ready to say this during the leaders’ debate:
@Kavanthekid This is not filmmaking, it’s a derivative collage. Don’t understand why all you ‘AI filmmakers’ use the tools to create something original/unique as opposed to remixing existing IP. Completely impoverished creative ambition.
@EricKerArt Why can’t you AI filmmakers use the tools to make something original, instead of just remixing existing properties? Vapid, boring and completely void of creative ambition
I'm so glad our finite sources of drinking water are being evaporated so people who have less creativity than a middle schooler can pretend to make stuff that looks like utter dogshit
this makes me feel so crazy and scared. i’m from ottawa, i couldn’t imagine this happening when i was in high school which was when it felt like this kind of racism was at its peak.
Doug Ford has increased Ontario’s debt by 50% (to $450 billion) in only 6 years.
And we seemingly have nothing to show for it. Education is worse. Healthcare is worse. Transit projects can’t get completed
When conservatives tell you they are fiscally responsible, they’re lying.
@briebriejoy What an idiotic, braindead response. He did try running, twice, & was kneecapped by the corporate class of Dems. But he continued to try & force the party towards a progressive agenda from the inside. Doing much more than your smug, useless moral high ground
@SteveSchmidtSES You are such a useless, dumbass, centrist cancer. The exact reason the Democratic Party is failing is bc they’re being held hostage by your kind of thinking. They didn’t lose bc of progressive cultural policies, they lost bc they have ignored the economic realities of working ppl
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.
While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.
And they’re right.
Weird. Seems like the groups most rapidly fleeing the Democratic coalition are the exact ones where Bernie Sanders was strongest (working class, Latinos, Bros!). Maybe that guy was onto something!
