@BaronVonGrumble just watched your Live Chat from today, The race Ecu for rsv4 is just like a remap, you buy the ECU for around £300-400 and fit to your bike, it changes the fueling, TC parameters etc. You will need a comp program and plug the bike in and do something called

Throttle learning and handle learning, which synchronises the ride by wire throttle and throttle bodies to the new ECU.
