“I wish at [my player’s] age, I would’ve gone much deeper into a relationship with Jesus Christ… To me, the most important thing is to God with all my heart, soul, & mind.”
- Tennessee HC Rick Barnes

High Point Guard Chase Johnston shared The Gospel on @wakeupbarstool this morning & explained how Jesus Christ saved him though a convicting conversation with his brother 3 years ago.
Great job diving into this, @TBob53 👏
"The hardest thing I have ever done in my life, is sit in a hospital room and watch my son die, and watch my wife watch her son die."
"There was nothing I could do."
"I would have done anything."
"As hard as it was and still is, I have never experienced anything that made me more aware of the love of God."
"God watched his son die for me and for you and he could have stopped it."
"He loved us so much that he didn't."
Really puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
Man is a rebel and he is sick because he is a rebel. In other words, the business of Christianity ultimately is not simply to make us feel happier or even to make us live a better life — it is too reconcile us to God. — Martyn Lloyd Jones
On merit not my own I stand;
On doings which I have not done,
Merit beyond what I can claim,
Doings more perfect than my own.
Upon a life I have not lived,
Upon a death I did not die,
Another’s life, another’s death,
I stake my whole eternity.
#GoodFriday
I hope we all really think about what our savior did for us on Good Friday.
Read about it. Meditate in it. Thank Him for it.
His sacrifice is literally where the word 'excruciating' comes from.
It was too much for any other person in the history of the world to bear.
But it is good.
Because Sunday is coming!
Not worthy! But this is the ministry of coaching! So proud of Dylan for loudly declaring his faith and grateful for the sacrifices paid and the commitment of his teammates, coaches and the Auburn Family!
I am 100% certain that if I died tonight that I’d be in heaven with my Savior. I’m sure of this because of what He did—He lived a perfect life of obedience to the law, and on the cross He paid for every sin I’ve ever committed or will ever commit.
Because my faith is in His work, and not in any works of my own, His righteousness has been imputed to me. I’m so thankful that I can rest in what He’s done, and that I’m freed from the burden of sin, and from the burden of the law.
2 Corinthians 5:21 - For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Dylan Cardwell on what brought this #Auburn team together before the season began:
"Bruce Pearl had these mandatory 9 a.m. breakfasts... The difference with this year's team is we started having Bible study at these breakfasts."
Give this answer a listen. 🙏🙌
