I instituted a policy in our school district.
We give every kid a Chromebook from the 5th grade up (4th grade down each kid gets one but it stays in the classroom for now).
When they graduate. They keep the Chromebook.
Since implementing this I've had a constant argument.
@decisiveshawnf@kowalchukfarms1 My parents had an LG washing machine. Died after 2 years, still under warranty. LG detained it was cheaper for them to REPLACE the machine than send someone out to repair it.... So they got a new washing machine.
Pobably fixed it themselves if not under warranty
Just a reminder that the slope between "I don't trust the science behind vaccines" and "I don't trust the science behind *insert modern agricultural practice here* " is a slippery one if you choose to go down it.
I'm fully vaccinated and I have had my booster. No, I don't know "what's in it". Neither this vaccine or the ones I had as a child. Nor do I know what's in the 11 secret herbs and spices at KFC.
if you’re at Thanksgiving and someone says their decision to not get vaccinated doesn’t affect anyone else, cut your slice of pie like this to demonstrate how that is very untrue

It boggles my mind that we can grow beef off of land like this without any carbon based inputs while suppressing wildfire concerns and do it sustainably every single year and there’s still people against it
Remember when you used to be asked, “Smoking or non-smoking?” at a restaurant?
No? That’s because we, as a society, made the decision that people who smoke can absolutely do so, but they don’t get to endanger others in the process.
Do you see where I’m going with this or
