@HistoricalSoton Fascinating did not know the history so thanks for sharing and used to cycle past it most days going across the Common to school at King Edwards which was still a grammar school back then
@Beathhigh look what I found in Dubai Airport yesterday... sharing shelf space with the ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.. and in the top 5 sellers of fiction.
@SouthamptonHid1 That brings back some memories... lived just down the road in Winn Road and could walk there in about 5 minutes crossing the Avenue and on to the Common!
@theowalcott Good luck in the future. Always remember taking my Dad to see your debut against Wolves!! Second half sub, 16 and electric pace - and still have the ticket.
@HistoricalSoton My grandfather was a professional photographer with his own shop that was sadly destroyed in the bombing. My mother and grandmother had already been evacuated to the countryside.
@ancientorigins Now known as Hegra, a Unesco world heritage site in the AlUla region and open to visitors. I have been fortunate enough to visit through work on many occasions- a stunning location.
@ancientorigins Hegra - the UNESCO world heritage site in the region of AlUla in North West Saudi Arabia - the southern capital of the Nabataean Kingdom - Petra being the northern capital in Jordan. Extraordinary place I have been fortunate enough through work to visit on multiple occasions.
@theowalcott@SouthamptonFC I still have the ticket when I took my Dad to St Mary's for your debut against Wolves aged 16...second half sub!! Good luck for the future
@nwbrux Interesting list - I am in a similar ballpark for countries too! But have more Middle East (having lived there) and Asia on mine - also the bonus of Yugoslavia and East Germany as then was. Living in Serbia and then Hungary helped to boost the Central Europe numbers!!
@KipMooreMusic Glad to see one of my little brother's favourite phrases getting an outing.....way to go Nigel! @NigelHassler@KipMooreMusic From the photos I saw South Africa looked a fantastic trip.
@SouthamptonHid1 We used to live in Winn Road so it was pretty much at the top of our road across the Avenue. Brings back a lot of memories and a lot of dog walking and football on the Common.
