Abdul Carter says he will only address Jaxson Dart introducing Donald Trump one time:
"Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things.
Jaxson is one of our leaders - he's the face of our franchise. He represents himself and what he does, and he represents all of us.
If he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it's my responsibility based on what I believe and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I'm against that, but to show the world.
That doesn't mean that we have to spread hate. That doesn't mean that me and Jaxson hate each other or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day - we're close, we talk.
As long as we make sure we have the same goal as a team, and our goals align - which they do -that's all that matter.
I just want to move past this."
@JustBlogBaby Didn't I read some place recently that Maxx could convert his salary this year somehow to to reduce his salary cap hit to something like $7.5 million? Maybe that is an opportunity to have him stay and get on board with what Spytek and Co. have cookin'...
@RaidersBeat okay so why elevate him all the way to a HC if he's currently the passing coordinator? Couldn't he come over as the OC and work under someone with more experience?
@_MLFootball Man we sometimes forget that these amazingly gifted humans are still kids - lots of them away from home for the first time. They have a team around them, but still not the same as home.
@WatchMeWork365 IF Jeanty isn't there, I think this is a great move. There is so much talent in the 2nd and third rounds that it really is a great play and sets us up to be buyers if we want in '26. I do think we use one of those picks to swing for the fences on someone like Milroe tho.
It's bananas to me that there are those who want to take a pass on Jeanty if he's there at 6. We saw last year how anemic our offense was without a good run game. Why would we pass this kid up?!
