Dear @MOH_Kenya ,there is this character in FB who lives with wild birds including scavengers and eats with them from the same plate. While this looks funny,it won't be funny when he contracts and spreads zoonotic diseases.Kindly send public health officers to advice him accordingly coz we are not ready to pay for his folly with our lives!!
According to Kenya National Bureau of Statistics data, calls from Kenya to some East African countries are insanely expensive.
Somalia: KSh78.33 per minute
Burundi: KSh71 per minute
Now compare that:
India - around KSh7/min
US - around KSh5/min.
Calling fellow Africans costs up to 10x more than calling India.
And it’s not just calls.
A flight to Saudi Arabia can cost as low as KSh39,000.
But flying to Senegal or Morocco can easily go above KSh80,000.
This is the African problem.
We talk about Pan-Africanism, trade, and unity, but moving, calling, and trading within Africa is still harder and more expensive than dealing with Asia, Europe, or America.
Africa must fix this. Urgently.
