Oh yeah, this morning when I was crossing a delivery van driver saw me approaching the crosswalk when they were about a block away, accelerated, then sped through as the lights were flashing giving me the "I know I'm doing something wrong, but don't care," wave.

@CBalagus @BichaelRender I agree that there needs to be better transport options, but that doesn't excuse personal responsibility. As soon as driving is thought of as a right, not a privilege, then the road becomes less safe for everyone, including drivers.

@BichaelRender @CBalagus I'm not sure focusing on the one-time test pass rate is going to solve anything. Taking a test as a teenager means that people have decades to develop bad habits (I know I have).

I think there needs to be a combination of retesting and more, short term suspensions.

@pauloafernandes I got regular calls for like a year about getting one for snap it, though we had basically ceased operations the previous year. I could have taken the loan, put it in the bank, repay the $40,000 and keep the $20k. There are for sure businesses that did that.

Very interested to see the business closure numbers for January/February 2024, now that CEBA has come due, as well as reporting on the program itself. Detangling the effects on the economy that CERB had vs CEBA is going to be an interesting debate for years.
