there’s been nonstop Disclosure Day discourse and and simply not enough Stop! That! Train! discourse, so @ema_sasic and I had to step in and contribute a little of both for this week’s Weekly Pop: https://t.co/eOCQoZKfhY
Courtney Grace on the reaction to her ‘DISCLOSURE DAY’ scene as the news anchor:
"Oh man, oh man! I am overwhelmed with so much gratitude and surprise and shock. My heart is ten sizes larger now. I am deeply touched that this moment in the movie resonated with people so deeply. It certainly resonated with me as I was working on the material. I don’t know, man, I’m at a loss for words."

News anchor turned actor Courtney Grace is the breakout star of Spielberg's #DisclosureDay and says: "I am overwhelmed with so much gratitude and surprise and shock."
"Some of my proudest moments were as a journalist [for seven years], and yet the desire to act just never went away... My experience as an anchor, in combination with the past three years training as an actor, you understand how to read scripts.. when I sat behind that news desk with that prompter in front of me, it felt like home."

‘OBSESSION’ is now eyeing a $390–420M finish at the worldwide box office.
It would become the highest-grossing live-action original film of the decade.
many valid critiques but i feel like a lot of the negative reaction to Disclosure Day stems from ppl wanting a story starting & grappling w/ the consequences of proving aliens exist
when it’s actually a whistleblower cat-and-mouse thriller about the humanity’s right to the truth
So happy to see all the praise for Courtney Grace’s stunning performance. It's a tough task to come into the final ten minutes of a film and sell the emotional core of the whole thing. This is the kind of supporting performance the Oscars should be recognizing.
There’s a bit where Spielberg holds the shot on her reaction for a few extra seconds and, to me, if Steven Spielberg doesn’t want to cut away from your performance, that’s better than an Oscar.
It's so rare that a unnamed character performance can transform the point and meaning of a movie within minutes of showing up.
Courtney Grace does that by delivering a performance that's going to stick with me for some time.
