Today, I got a call from one of my friends after a long time. She yelled that my personal journaling website was down.
I literally launched it 1 year back as a project to learn full stack. Many of my friends loved it, few were regular and eventually the traction became almost dead.
I thought, no one was using it. So, I didn't renew my domain subscription. It expired a few days back, and today I got a good earful of words from my friend scolding that she was unable to journal today.
Only for people who build, can resonate how much it means when someone really loves what you have built and are genuinely using it.
Btw, I am not advertising something here, and the site is down because the domain is gone, I forgot the codebase completely, got messed up with oauth permissions etc..., So, need some time to get it back.
But.....
I am sharing this here because, it doesn't matter how many people see your product. If at least one uses it, and if they love it. It is what it all matters for a builder.
Sometimes, even a scolding from someone could make your day happier...
@NeelakandanNC Even google suggests using the first party connection rather than community built ones...So, if official docs are easy, then definitely yes..
Getting 1000 followers in insta is easy, because all your friends are already there, you just need to give a request, and you will get a follower back.
But X is built differently, your friends donโt use this, because this is not for doom scrolling for immediate dopamine hits.
Because, here builders share their progress, economists update about major trends, Sam Altman drops his next update about AGI, Elon introduces his alien friends etc...,
So making people trust you is not an easy process. You have to show that you are worthy enough to be followed.
And, here I am with one quarter of 100 followersโฆI build agentic systems and share my lessons here, so you can leverage it.
If you are into tech, entrepreneurship, or building something good enough to solve problems. Then, we should definitely connect ๐ ๐ค
