@MattWalshBlog Justice ought to be retributive, with deterence as a welcome but not sought after consequence. Punishment for the sake of deterence seems to exceed the appropriate role of what justice is. Corporal punishment may be okay, even public shaming if retributive, but not for deterence.
@thisisfoster Health of wife, who is battling cancer.
Salavation of my unregenerate children.

@mightydeseret@iWomansplainer @Easterngirl77 @GeorgistJoseph I understand that the Father is a person of the trinity, distinct from the Son and fully God.The Son is another person of the trinity, distinct from the Father but also fully God. So, the Son is distinct from the Father, but He is not distinct from God. He is God.
@mightydeseret@iWomansplainer @Easterngirl77 @GeorgistJoseph I agree he was distinct from the Father, but that is a different question from whether he was distinct from God Almighty.

I am completely fine with what you wrote. I just think we should let people try to persuade both ways.
@Easterngirl77 @mightydeseret@iWomansplainer @GeorgistJoseph Im not sure that clarifies, at least to me, whether mormons believe Jesus was a god distinct from the Almighty. Do mormons believe that Jesus began to exist or existed eternally?
@jrdlynwst@iamgregk2@TomFitton The big difference is whether those things are done through govenment or individually. Conservatives give more to charity than liberals because conservatives believe in doing those things, just not with other people's money.
