@OVTweetmarck A decade ago I had a surgeon treat me for a sprained ankle. He wanted me to inject myself with a blood thinner and be bed-bound for a week.

When I questioned him he asked "are you religious or just dumb?"

A day later a different doctor found out it was a misdiagnosed.

I spent a good chunk of my childhood helping my mom care for terminally ill relatives.

If you think caring for children with down syndrome is hard, then you have no idea how much worse it is when it's daily visits to hospitals full of people who are in constant misery and pain.
