@johnhunter38655 @whatismusicpod Getting back to AM the album, does it make it a more remarkable achievement that it succeeds despite being rooted in a played out genre? I'm pretty well-versed in things rock music, but I can't recall too many other albums that manage to make this combination of sounds work.

@johnhunter38655 @whatismusicpod Some of those genre melds work and some don't, that's just the nature of the game. I would argue that this one works for more than just those ignorant of 70s rock cliches - AM has been ridiculously popular for over a decade now.
