Traffic is moving slowly exiting the Tollgate towards Iyana Oworo due to an accident on the Third Mainland Bridge, near the Unilag waterfront, heading towards the Island.

A tanker and a truck collided overnight, causing significant disruptions.
Our personnel and the Nigerian Police Force are on the scene, actively monitoring traffic and ensuring safety.

Cones have been placed behind the vehicles to prevent further accidents. Efforts are underway to evacuate the affected vehicles and restore normal traffic flow.

We will provide further updates as the situation develops.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and plan accordingly.

I had only 50,000 naira/$40 in my account when my wife, who was my girlfriend back then suggested we get married. Mind you I had just become a blind person at the age of 27 as a result of armed band1ts that attacked me while driving Uber, one of them sh0t me in the face with a local gun and it damaged both of my eyes, I was still depressed and I had exhausted almost all our finances on hospital bills. and there she was about two months after the incident telling me that we should get married, the same way you are surprised now reading this was the way I was surprised and surprisingly she said to me, baby don’t worry, we will grow together. God is with us. so we went ahead with our decision, I proposed to her eventually, and we got married a year after I became blind.. We did only sitting room wedding just family members came together and we did traditional and court wedding., No fancy elaborate wedding in the hall. But I eventually told my wife that I promise her that on our 10th year anniversary. She will have that big wedding that she would have loved to have and guess what guys I am the one always talking about it she doesn’t even think about it. she deserves to be celebrated. And one thing I’m grateful for is that we are not where we used to be. We may not be where we want to be yet, but we give all glory to God.. We have been married for five years now and we believe God is just starting with us..

My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September.
We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago
Only God did not let them call the police on us
The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen.
Stolen from where?
It was not a used iPhone
It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact
The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors
They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”.
They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value.
I was not shocked at all even though I should be.

Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck.
Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police.
Nigerian business people must try to do better than this
There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty.
I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad.
We must do better than this as a people.
