Mrs. Angelou said, “If you don't know where you've come from, you don't know where you're going.” These pics are from February. A snow storm hit us the previous night thus “business decisions” had to be made. Our indoor facility was under construction, Gesa field was blanketed with more than 10 inches of snow without plows to clean it off, and a comfortable opportunity was at our disposal should we alter our workouts and hold it in a gym someplace on campus…
OR…
callus our minds, further strengthen our team bond, and build a resolve to help us when adverse times hit this season.
I don’t know how far we’ll go this year; however, I ABSOLUTELY know the road we’ve already travelled—with its many learning experiences—ensure these Cougs will unitedly fight for each other, the people who’ve sustained them, and for the logo they wear with utmost pride.
I truly love our players — they are my absolute muse.
Time to heal up and get back to choppin’ wood. See yall in 2 weeks #BeatFresno #GoCougs
Also, shout out to all the awesome Wazzu supporters who showed-up in force last night.
Leadership is hard because it means you have to tell people they’re not good enough. Everyone can’t be the best. Too many leaders today are afraid to have difficult conversations. This will forever be my favorite Saban clip.
"Do your job.
Sweat the details.
Put the team first.
Be attentive.
Ignore the noise.
Speak for yourself."
