Ohioans, part of your $600 million in tax dollars just went to the University of Tennessee
Jimmy straight up stole from you and gave it to his home state
Terry Francona on Tony Santillan:
“We’re at a point where we need some stability so much, and he’s the guy….so we’re going to have to figure that out.”

I'm begging.....absolutely begging the #Bengals to change their plan for the Ring of Honor.
Pleeeeeeeease expand this next class to include ALL seven remaining original nominees. Call it the Super 7 Class.
Nobody that knows anything about the history of the franchise would dispute the Ring of Honor resume of ANY of the seven: Reggie Williams, Jim Breech. Max Montoya, James Brooks, Cris Collinsworth, David Fulcher, Bob Trumpy.
They are all deserving.
The six living nominees are all at least 61 years old. Three of them are at least 70: Reggie Williams 71, Jim Breech 70, Max Montoya 70, James Brooks 67, Cris Collinsworth 67, David Fulcher 61.
How much longer do they have to wait? What’s the point in making them wait?
Fulcher and Breech are the most recent original nominees to play for the Bengals. That was over three decades ago, in 1992!
Why risk the passing of another, who won't get to experience the love, admiration and appreciation from the fans? It's a damn shame that Ken Riley passed away without feeling that moment. It's tragic that 80-year old Bob Trumpy passed away in November, without getting that moment.
There are currently 12 members of the Ring of Honor. Who gets upset if it expands to 19 this season? Nobody.
I welcomed the introduction of the Ring of Honor concept. But the idea was flawed from jump. It immediately created a backlog.
It's only going to get worse. The class size is being reduced to one candidate starting in 2027. The additions of guys like AJ Green, Andrew Whitworth and Geno Atkins to the ballot will only create a bigger and longer backup.
An organization should always be looking to widen the spotlight on their greatest players. Shine it proudly on the guys that helped build the franchise.
Celebrate them. Embrace them. Love them. Let the fans hug them!
Don't make your greats wait, and pay, because the initial process was flawed.
And while I'm at it....how can the Ring of Honor not include the likes of Sam Wyche, Forrest Gregg, original radio voice Phil Samp, the original Bengals, Bob Johnson, longtime assistants like Jim Anderson, Jim McNally, and others?
What the Bengals are doing to the seven remaining nominees is just wrong.
The Bengals need to make this right.
Now.
Before it's too late.
Tony Santillan now has a -1.1 fWAR, worst among all relievers in baseball.
Should not be pitching anywhere near the 9th inning, and that's been evident for quite a while.
You cannot put a reliever out there late in games who is afraid to throw a breaking ball. You just can’t. If that is where Santillan is, he also needs to go work on his game in Louisville.
Sure, let’s make the California team who hasn’t played on East Coast Time since February play Game 1 & 2 at 9AM PST (their home time).
The scheduling committee clearly isn’t thinking things through again…
The delayed payment of Myles Garrett's $29.2 million option bonus could result in more than $2.9 million in additional state income tax payments, thanks to the difference in rates between Ohio (3.125%) and California (13.3%). https://t.co/pfd4mojdat
@NoahB77_@11point7 Many conferences used to play 4 game weekends. Few, if any do now.
Would provide more pitching depth even if DH day were 7 inning games.
Today is the start of crazy season with the baseball portal. Literally no rhyme or reason for directions to follow anymore. It’s the freaking wild wild West. Whoever is in charge, and it’s certainly not the NCAA, should be ashamed of themselves. They still don’t even officially know the 5/5 yet. I bet most people don’t even know that kids don’t even get to sign a letter of intent anymore. That was a rite of passage.
There’s some quirk in physics where, if there’s a small hole in a bag of mulch it will leak all over your vehicle.
But if you rip a giant hole in the bag and try to dump it out into your landscaping, almost none will fall out.
