@bobpockrass 23XI all bunched up (26, 27, 28, 29) in the grid. You think 1) it's a coincidence, 2) they're just running mid-pack speed or 3) was it a strategic decision to try and keep the cars together at the start since Daytona is a track that doesn't really reward race start position.
@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX Winning the final race would give you 250 points but the second place driver could get 175. That 75 point difference is huge but wouldn't necessarily determine winner.
@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX I have a solution.
* Keep race and stage points like they are but give a bigger bump for winning (50 instead of 40 points).
* Make the last 10 races playoff races with the same 3 races (16 cars), 3 (12), 3 (8), 1 (4) format as this year.
@bobpockrass@NASCARONFOX * Instead of starting points over leave them but double the points for playoff drivers in playoff round 1, triple them in playoff round 2, quadruple them in playoff round 3, and quintuple them in the final race.
This makes the season important but makes the playoffs special.
@bobpockrass You posted an estimate of team earnings as a bar chart. Rough guess would be $300 million across the 30 teams. There are likely things missing, but this would suggest rough half to track and roughly half to teams no?
@AP @Putnam4All is trying to fight the white supremacy in Putnam County where this sad story takes place. If you want to do something you can contact the county board of commissioners and let them know the confederate statue in front of the court house should come down.
