@Mr_JSheffield@recusant_raja@SkyNews@BethRigby@jessphillips@elonmusk Have you looked at the 7 recommendations IICSA made on CSE? Do you think that the same institutions that presided over & may have been involved in this are the right people to fix it? When there has so far been no actual examination of the who, what, when, where & how
@JajaPhD They are not taking their qualifications. They were here on a student visa to get an education. This should not be a route to becoming a resident. They are different things.
@Gus_JordM There are very few adult British people who are unable to communicate beyond the expected level of a young primary school aged child and they all have intellectual disability. A-level equivalent in English as a foreign language is a very low bar to reach…
@ThatAnni@BigglesTheThird@radfemlez GPs in the UK maybe are better. They have an interesting history here in that they have historically resisted centralisation (which has caused many issues with the quality of specialist care) within the NHS, they have been contractors throughout the history of the NHS &
@HalfSpaceHub_IQ If we wanted to recruit global talent we would have much higher standards, much higher costs & routes for high net worth entrepreneurs to actually live here as well as invest… but we don’t. We have a system designed to favour packing the U.K. full of unskilled people, criminals
@notnew927@Gus_JordM Or how depressing it is watching SEND kids be punished because they don’t like their in classroom support (because they can’t understand them).

@narindertweets A-level English as a foreign language is the absolute bare bones basic level of English & we should have higher expectations than that. In particular I do not want doctors and nurses who can’t communicate, it is dangerous.
@noahfinnadams We don’t, immigrants aren’t being expected to do an A-level in English language. They are being expected to do an A-level in English as a second language which is a fairly low standard. I think we should expect a better standard of English than that TBH. It’s the absolute basics.
