‘Is Self questioning the unmagical realism of autofiction here? Is that… it?’ Me on Will Self’s new novel Elaine, for The Washington Post @washingtonpost. https://t.co/Nh0JZiMv5S
Me watching Steve Martin hastening to answer a knock at the door of his apartment while attempting to remove a piece of lint from his sweater: “There he is!” #onlymurdersinthebuilding
In Only Murders in the Building, Steve Martin reminds me of Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven: a wild and crazy guy trying desperately to go straight, yet every so often forced to execute a ruthless bit of (comedy) business just because they are so damn good at it.
@jeffyoungwriter @LittleToller@Sarahshugs@tabithapelly @jonwoolcott Congratulations, Jeff. I cannot wait to read this - I know already that I’ll love it. ❤️
How lovely to see a lead review on a band that have been around for years. One of the best jobs I ever did: went to rural France to interview Stuart Staples and Dave Boulter about Tindersticks. We went to a restaurant and had steak bleu. Good times. https://t.co/DFhqY2gs3T
