We are committed to the comprehensive welfare, development of health and educational parameters of our hardworking Tea Garden Workers of North Bengal.
To ensure expeditious and smooth progress, our State Level Committee recently finalized the implementation plan for the 'Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana' (PMCSPY) scheme. With a total financial allocation of ₹313.30 Crores, we are bringing transformative changes to the lives of our 'Cha Shramiks'.

Here are the key components of this major initiative:-
📚 Cha Shramik Shiksha Yojana (CSSY): An allocation of ₹177 Crores to boost educational infrastructure and quality interventions for the families of Tea Workers.

🏥 Cha Shramik Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (CSSSY): A ₹72 Crore investment to upgrade health facilities and ensure robust medical services in our Tea Garden areas.

🏡 Cha Shramik Aashray Yojana (CSAY): ₹63 Crores dedicated to building 321 Resting Sheds (88 in the hills and 233 in the plains). These sheds will be equipped with modern, dignified amenities including off-grid solar power, clean drinking water, comfortable seating arrangements and hygienic ceramic-floored toilets.

The North Bengal Development Department (NBDD) would be leading this effort as the executing agency and will work closely with the Health Department, the Paschim Banga Samagra Siksha Mission and District Administrations to roll this out smoothly.
Our Government remains steadfast in its dedication to the prosperity and well-being of the Tea Garden Workers.

Today, on the occasion of National Doctors' Day, I had the profound honour of paying respect and floral tributes to the statue of the eminent Physician, visionary leader and former Chief Minister of West Bengal; Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.

To observe National Doctors’ Day as well as the 144th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, I along with Health & Family Welfare Minister; Dr. Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay, Municipal Affairs & Urban Development Minister; Smt Agnimitra Paul, Chief Secretary, other MLAs and Government Officials, unveiled a wide range of Health Infrastructure and Welfare initiatives at the newly rechristened Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Super speciality Hospital in Bidhannagar, with the ultimate goal that West Bengal must build a healthcare system capable of retaining patients within the state.
We also felicitated eminent Doctors and Healthcare Professionals at today's event.

আজ জোকায় অবস্থিত ভারত সেবাশ্রম সংঘের হাসপাতালে একটি অত্যাধুনিক নিউরো আইসিইউ (Neuro ICU) ইউনিটের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকতে পেরে আমি অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত।

সর্বদা নিঃস্বার্থ মানবসেবায় নিবেদিত প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে ভারত সেবাশ্রম সংঘ সারা দেশের মধ্যে উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করতে সক্ষম হয়েছে। ধর্ম রক্ষা করতে গিয়ে আক্রান্ত ও রাজনৈতিক হিংসায় আক্রান্তদের সেবাদান করেছে এই হাসপাতাল। বিশেষত দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনায় পূর্বে রাজনৈতিক হিংসার ঘটনায় অনেকে আক্রান্ত হয়েছিলেন। সেই সব আক্রান্তদের জন্য সরকারি ও বেসরকারি হাসপাতালের দরজা বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়েছিল। সেই সময় ভারত সেবাশ্রম সংঘ আক্রান্তদের সেবাদান করেছে।

এই অত্যাধুনিক নিউরো আইসিইউ (Neuro ICU) ইউনিট রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্য পরিকাঠামোকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করবে এবং স্নায়ুর রোগে আক্রান্ত সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য চিকিৎসার দিগন্ত বিস্তৃত করবে। রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্যব্যবস্থাকে উন্নত করার লক্ষ্যে তাঁদের এই নিরলস প্রচেষ্টা সত্যিই প্রশংসনীয়।

সংঘের পূজনীয় সন্ন্যাসীগণ, নিবেদিতপ্রাণ চিকিৎসক, নার্স এবং হাসপাতালের সমগ্র প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিক দলকে আমার আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও গভীর কৃতজ্ঞতা জানাই। এই হাসপাতাল যাতে আরও উন্নত হয় তার জন্যে রাজ্য সরকার সমস্ত রকম সহযোগিতা করবে।
এই নতুন পরিষেবা যেন বহু মানুষের জীবন রক্ষা ও সুস্থ করে তোলার মাধ্যম হয়ে ওঠে। 🙏

🏭 Good news for Bengal's jute belt.

Three more jute mills-Baranagar, J.J.I. (Jagaddal) and EMCO (Titagarh)-are expected to reopen within the next 2–3 days after talks at Nabanna.

Reopening notices will be issued tomorrow, maintenance work will begin first, and production will resume in phases. Nearly 7,500 workers are expected to get their jobs back.

Earlier, Alliance (Jagaddal), Kankinara and Naihati jute mills had also reopened. One step at a time, Bengal's historic jute industry is showing signs of coming back to life.
