@TMobile I feel like it'd be even more work at this point to walk away but I'm still thinking about it. What a terrible first experience for a new customer. At least a full workday's worth of hours I've spent, just to swap out a phone because we couldn't see it in person first.
Having major regrets about switching my family's mobile to @TMobile. Got hooked by some promos available via Costco, including free phones for all the lines I set up. Wife got the phone, decided she didn't like the color. Nbd, I figure I can just swap it out. Whoo boy was I wrong
@TMobile Throughout the process, reps had conflicting information, weird security processes (Costco reps can't access my account because I ported my number??) and I've been hung up on and needed to start over at least 4 times. Easily the most frustrating CX process I've ever had.
@jackmcdade I was shocked to learn not too long ago that Jonathan Frakes did it like this because a back injury made it hard to do over and over for multiple takes the “normal” way. Pretty cool that he turned it into a character trait for Riker!

This is a really cool thread, and an encouragement to keep making little helpful things! Working on this app for our family’s home-school has felt really rewarding as it’s something my family can benefit from, but also something I can build however I want 🤣
@Mappletons@rauchg My wife has long-Covid and the brain fog can make it hard to keep track of things. We home-school our 4 kids, so I built an app to track what’s supposed to be happening for each kid at each time, and handles logging what’s been done that day.

@calebd Project Hail Mary was a fav of mine last year! Dark Matter is on my list to read soon.
Have you tried The Expanse series? Definitely my favorite sci-if over the last several years.
A used car salesman from Harleyville builds a fake "drug detector" called the Quadro Tracker and sells it to police departments all over the country (1993-1996)
@AdamRackis I think my co is going to have to do something similar here pretty soon. We’ve got thousands of Enzyme tests with no viable way to upgrade React. Even if you didn’t PR it to RTL I’d love to see a gist of what you came up with, at least!
