Madlanga asks if there's anybody suggesting that documents were forged. Johnson says that came afterwards in the investigation (including Khumalo, Mokwele, and others). Johnson cites that in the manipulation of appointing, there could be fraud and uttering. Madlanga says he doesn't see the reason in what Johnson suspects.

Sello indicates that Johnson is authorizing an investigation into eight individuals not listed in the document. She inquires about the specific section being referenced. Johnson suggests a conversation must have occurred with Ramsamy, though she does not have an independent recollection of it. She further states that the suggested names of SAPS officers, including Khumalo and others, do not correspond with their records.

Baloyi asserts that Johnson should have intervened, as investigations had not commenced and only an affidavit was available. Baloyi further states that Johnson authorized an unduly intrusive application. He contends that the department head did not indicate any legal obligation to investigate matters that were not properly processed. Baloyi characterizes this as an abuse of authority and maintains that there is no legitimate basis to scrutinize the personal lives of Khumalo and others. Baloyi concludes by suggesting this is another instance of Johnson misusing her power. Johnson has declined to comment.
