@Lowbiga It is Julis Caesar made in green slate. An amazing portrait placed next to Cleopatra in the gallery with Roman portraits. It is called ‘The Green Caesar’.
Another good (but much smaller) exhibition is the “Gli ultimi Re etruschi” in Montalto di Castro with very interesting finds from Vulci which I saw yesterday with my lovely colleagues from @goteborgsuni@lewismarkwebb and Serena Sabatini after a day in the field at Vulci.
Very interesting to see the exhibition on Claudius at the Ara Pacis museum @museiincomune a couple of days ago. Some amazing objects on show - don’t miss it if you’re in Rome!
Further @the_bsr geophysical investigation today with GPR at Vulci, a new collaboration with the Department of Historical Studies at @goteborgsuni@HumanistenGU@kgoransson1 and Serena Sabatini
Verkligen fint att se @NatMus_SWE nya utställning på Jamtli i Östersund. Ett riktigt fint urval och mycket vackert hängt. Bravo @callecarlcalle @SusannaPetterss
Great to be present at the presentation today of this new book published by @GangemiNews ed. by Pelagatti & Muscolino on the journey Arthur Evans did in southeastern Sicily in 1889 with his notebook (kept @AshmoleanMuseum ) in facsimile, transcribed and translated into Italian.
A pleasure for the Swedish Institute in Rome to host the Swedish National Day celebrations wonderfully organized by the embassy @RydbergRoma @Assosvezia
