The U.S. Air Force is scrambling to replace MQ-9 Reaper drones after losing nearly 30 in operations against Iran, plus additional losses in missions against the Houthis.

With the MQ-9A no longer in production, the Air Force plans to buy unused aircraft from General Atomics, but fewer than 10 are reportedly available.

The Air Force's MQ-9 fleet has dropped from 165 aircraft at the start of FY2026 to about 135 today.

U.S. military has released footage showing strikes on Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island.

CENTCOM said the strikes came amid a broader exchange that included the interception of six Iranian ballistic missiles launched toward Kuwait and Bahrain, while a seventh failed to reach its intended target.
