This is a new thing. My mom would walk 5 kilometres from where the taxi dropped her off coming from work.
For 18 years. Not once did she come home drenched on the 1st of September.
What we’re seeing now is new levels of indelelo and, in some cases, outright criminality.
Our society is slowly rotting!

🇿🇦🇲🇱 South Africa built a new library and archives facility in Timbuktu to preserve Mali’s ancient manuscripts.
The project began after Thabo Mbeki’s 2001 visit to Timbuktu. South Africa worked with Mali to construct the facility, train Malian conservators and protect the manuscripts as part of Africa’s intellectual heritage.
The new building was officially handed over to Mali in May 2010.

In reality, no woman has ever qualified as a U.S. Navy SEAL.
No woman has been publicly confirmed to have completed British SAS selection and become a badged operator, and there is no publicly confirmed female Delta Force assault operator.
These are the facts based on publicly available records.

Not an irk, but yesterday I offered a colleague of mine (30M) a lift to get food at FreshStop and asked him to put on his seatbelt. He genuinely didn’t know how to use it 😭 He literally pulled it out, hung it around his body and said, “It is fine like this?”
I had to help him with it and, honestly, that moment was painful to see. Not because he didn’t know how to use a seatbelt, but because it made me realise how easily we take certain things for granted.
So getting back to the irk: NO. Let’s not pick on men for not having cars. You genuinely have no idea what someone’s circumstances are, what they’ve had access to, or what they’re dealing with. A car is a privilege, not a measure of someone’s worth.
Nigerians are now producing fake South African passports in Nigeria and sending them to each other in order to japa around the world while pretending to be South Africans @GovernmentZA@Leon_Schreib
