Bow Wow’s lil film run in the 2000’s is underrated actually. Like Mike, Johnson Family Vacation, Roll Bounce, Tokyo Drift, Lottery Ticket
All classics imo
I’m being dead serious when I say this, but Roll Bounce is an incredible film.
It’s a coming of age story about the average Black American teenage experience in the 70’s
No drugs, shooting, pimping or degeneracy.
Just Black kids enjoying their summer and dealing w/ issues
Telling a nigga who is a college professor that works for NASA who has a side hustle as an NBA Player that he “Thinks” he’s smart is crazy.
That nigga is very much as smart as he believes
something i’ve realized watching all of this play out
a sandwich that jumps from $8 to $14 never goes back to $8. rent that climbs from $1,400 to $2,200 stays at $2,200 forever.
gas, groceries, insurance, all of it. prices only move in one direction
inflation becomes permanent the moment everyone accepts the new number.
and we always accept it because we have no other choice
then workers ask for raises just to survive the prices they had nothing to do with creating.
and suddenly they’re the problem. they’re “hurting the economy” by wanting to afford food
the economy for who exactly.
because whoever it’s working for it sure as hell isn’t us
Future talks about his love life on instagram and how it inspired him to make The Real Me album🦅:
"Every man that marry the right women, they progress, when you marry and that shit ain't for sure, you lose"
"If you see me out with a fucking girl, holding her hand, she like nigga I still love you, I love you when you holding another bitch hand, it ain't right that's just unconditional love"
"I love true love, I don't want fake love hell yeah I want to get married. Do I want to be married to the wrong person? No.
"I'm at a point in my life, I'm being the real me that's why I'm making this album."
And THAT ladies and gentleman is why PHYSICAL MEDIA IS IMPORTANT. Cause you may never know when the things you love will be taken off streaming one day.
Class dismissed.
